Before the procedure:

  1. Do not use lotion or oil on your legs before the treatment.
  2. Do shave the area you wish to be treated.
  3. If you wish, wax or pluck the areas you wish to be treated two weeks before treatment, but no sooner than two weeks.
  4. For treatments on the face, including photorejuvenation, you must remove all make-up.
  5. Please look at the list of photo-sensitizing medications and make a list of any and all medications on the list that you are taking.

The day of the procedure:

  1. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  2. Eat and drink normally.

After the procedure:

  1. Avoid manipulating the areas around the treatment sites.
  2. You may feel a mild stinging or burning sensation for several hours.
  3. Using Solarcaine, or equivalent product, may decrease stinging. Use as directed on product label.
  4. You may have slight swelling around the treatment sites for 24 hours.
  5. Stay active.
  6. Shower normally.
  7. You may have mild bruising are soreness.
  8. Call if you have questions or problems. Call especially (and immediately) if you have any severe pain, swelling, or blistering.
